Overview

Farlog ("the App") is a travel planning and journaling app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how.

Information We Collect

Farlog is designed to store your travel data — including itineraries, diary entries, photos, expense records, and reservation details — locally on your device.

You can sign in with your Apple ID or Google Account to identify yourself within the App. This authentication is handled directly by Apple or Google — Farlog does not operate its own account server, and does not receive, transmit, or store your sign-in credentials.
Basic profile information provided by Apple or Google during sign-in (such as your name or email address) is stored locally on your device only, and is not sent to or accumulated on any server operated by Farlog.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Photos and Media

If you choose to add photos to your travel entries, the App accesses your device's photo library only with your explicit permission, granted through iOS system permissions. Photos remain stored locally on your device within the App's data.

Export and Sharing

You can export your trip data as a PDF or text file to save or share (for example, with friends, on a blog, or via messaging apps). This export happens entirely on your device using Apple's native share sheet — Farlog does not see, store, or have access to who you share this file with.

Location Data

If you use the check-in feature, Farlog accesses your device's location only at the moment you tap "Check in" — it does not track or record your location continuously or in the background. This requires "While Using the App" location permission, which you can grant or deny through iOS system settings.

The captured coordinates are stored locally on your device and are used only to place a marker on the map view within your own trip itinerary. This location data is not transmitted to, or stored on, any server operated by Farlog.

You can revoke location access at any time in your device's Settings, without affecting any other part of the App.

Data Storage and Security

All data you enter into Farlog is stored locally on your device using standard iOS data storage mechanisms. If you delete the App, this data will be permanently removed unless you have backed it up separately (e.g., via iCloud device backup, which is managed by Apple, not by Farlog directly).
